A School Improvement Plan (SIP) or School Development Plan (SDP) is a central document used by Senior Leadership teams to map out their strategic plans for the development of their school.

ALL Students

In 2024, 52.7% of students met or exceeded ELA standards on IAR.

• IN 2025, 55.7% of students will meet/exceed ELA standards on IAR.

Provide full-day ELA collaboration sessions for each grade level, allowing teachers to analyze common assessment data, preview unit summative assessments in order to backwards-design engaging and standards-based unit plans that incorporate student engagement and student choice. 1st & 2nd Quarter

Chronic Absenteeism Rate 2024:

The chronic absenteeism rate for AMS in 2024 was 25%. This means 25% of students missed 19 or more days of school in the 2023-2024 school year.

Involvement 2025 goal:

80% of students will have participated in at least one school event/activity, as evidenced by a survey in May 2025.

Chronic Absenteeism Rate 2025 Goal:

The chronic absenteeism rate will be 12.5% or lower for 2025.

Belonging Data Survey Goal 2025:

80% of AMS students will answer "yes" to having at least one trusted adult at school, as evidenced by a survey in January and May 2025.

All teachers will implement at least one Second Step lesson per week during Advisory on Tuesdays, to provide tier 1 SEL skill development to all students. Additional lessons will be used as needed to address needs as identified by SWIS data. Weekly All Staff

All teachers will utilize Thunder Bucks to positively recognize and reward their students. The purpose of these are to recognize target behaviors while building positive relationships with students.

Every advisory will complete team building activities weekly during their Advisory class, to build positive relationships between students and also between staff and students.
