An Italian Meal with Chocolate Chip Cookies!

Algonquin
Algonquin Middle School's Cooking Club is at it again this school year, whipping up delicious sweet and savory foods after school each week!
On this particular day, students were in the kitchen making spaghetti with marinara sauce, garlic bread and, to round out the meal, chocolate chip cookies!
Students worked together in different groups, with one group prepping the garlic bread, one group making the spaghetti sauce and two groups making the cookie dough.
The students at the bread station diced up cloves of garlic, melted butter and put that mixture on fresh bread with seasonings, grated parmesan and mozzarella cheese.
The students at the spaghetti station diced and sauteed onions with other seasonings before adding the tomatoes and sauce.
The students working on the cookies concentrated on measuring the ingredients perfectly so the cookies would turn out just right.
When the food was done, the students enjoyed tasting their creations together. Everything was delicious!
