Algonquin
The second Algonquin Middle School family library event, "Games and Goodies at the DPPL," was held at the Des Plaines Public Library on the evening of May 7.
AMS students and their families dined on pizza and ice cream sundaes. Afterwards, they had fun playing a variety of board games together.
Families also played "book bingo," and had the opportunity to win gift cards and other prizes. School Liaison Librarian Stephanie Gelb presented information about the many summer programs available to students, and anyone who did not have a library card was able to sign up for one.
Students and their families said that they look forward to attending similar events in the future.
