Girls Basketball Team Clinches Third Place!

Algonquin
The Algonquin Middle School Girls Basketball Team truly showcased their strength and determination this season!
At the end of the school day recently the school held a “clap out” to celebrate the team’s phenomenal season!
The basketball players walked down the hallways on all of the floors of the school as the rest of the student body lined up against the lockers and cheered and clapped for them and their accomplishments this season.
The team, consisting of five 7th graders and four 6th graders, finished with a 7-7 record and secured the number 5 spot in the tournament seedings.
Coach Shelly Willmann said the girls fought hard and ultimately clinched 3rd place!
Willmann said, “Their hard work and team spirit have truly paid off, and I couldn’t be prouder of their achievements!”
