Recognizing and Rewarding AMS Students!
Algonquin Middle School held their first of eight PBIS events this year on Friday, September 13.
PBIS stands for Positive Behavior Intervention & Supports, and is a program within AMS to recognize, motivate and reward the school's hard-working students.
In addition to earning "ThunderBucks" from teachers on a daily basis, AMS has two fun events each quarter for students and staff.
For this particular event, students could choose from 30 activities to participate in, such as soccer, kickball, games, crafts, reading, movies, basketball and more!
The PBIS events are some of the best times throughout the year and allow students and teachers to simply have fun together.
The next PBIS event will be in mid-October and will feature students and teachers playing various games against each other.
